Review of Tea America, Oreo Truffles

This year’s Valentine’s Day turned out to be the best day EVER! Tea America kindly sent me a box of their Oreo Truffles.

Nine white chocolate mini delights in total, delicately dusted with chocolate power coating a ball of soft, moist, Oreo filling.

Bigger than your usual bite size chocolate but smaller than a teacake, the Oreo Truffle has a smooth milky and creamy outer texture. When split in two a dark coffee coloured Oreo filling is revealed.

I love American cookies and Oreos are my favourite! somehow a digestitve biscuit just doesn’t do it for me. I could not wait to dive in. I put one half of the truffle into my mouth and almost passed out at how good it tasted, very sweet and melt in your mouth morsel.

A moreish, velvety rich and buttery center, much like a cookie dough or brownie chewy filling. There were no crunchy Oreo chucks just pure soft, silky dark deliciousness.

I have had cake balls/ pops in the past which tend to be dry and crumbly however Tea America have shown their passion for American sweet treats and given them a modern makeover. Perfect as a gift, birthday party cake and dessert or just for yourself to indulge.

Beautifully presented in a satin white box with a chic branded card sets the tone of a sophisticated, contemporary cake company.
