Review of The London Tea Company #Tea #London
Beginning in 2003, The London Tea Company produces organic, handpicked, high quality ethical teas. Combining both modern and traditional blends and fusion teas, LTC have 3 main ranges of tea; classic, gourmet and herbal.
The London Tea Company were lovely enough to send me a selection of teas to try.
The tea turned the water into a cup a river of raspberry red. A strong aroma of fruitiness from the strawberries and blueberries filled the air. The tea tasted softly sweet with subtle hints of minty freshness. Childhood memories of hot ribena when sick came flooding back.
White tea, Elderflower and Apricot Tea
Green Tropical Detox
A skin enhancing and anti-oxidant tea was earthy, much like a nettle tea. Slightly peppery leaving a minty aftertaste, I couldn’t pick up the tropical fruit flavours however I found the tea refreshing and a great pick me up.
White tea, Lemongrass, Sencha and Mate
A slimming tea which lowers cholesterol and increases metabolism is a great alternative to camomile. Light, detoxing with a refreshing lemon aroma.
Peppermint, Spearmint and Strawberry
Strangely herby with a minty after taste with added subtle tones of strawberry. Sadly not my favourite of the bunch – the teabag was split on arrival.
Camomile, Lemongrass and Lavender
Very simliar to the previous tea, a fantastic stress and anxiety reliever.
Green tea, Spearmint, Gingko and Ginseng
An all in one multi vitamin tea for strengthening your immune system and boosting circulation. An incredible antioxidant, cleansing digestive the leafy and woody flavour is perfect for a detox.
In keeping with the tradition of relaxation and calming tones, the tea was bursting with flower blossoms. Quite an earthy and rooty flavour, the camomile tea was a delicate floral infusion. The most beautiful looking tea out the lot.
The London Tea Company exceeded my expectations. Organic, refreshing, strong teas with a variety of blends and ingredients for all tastes. Another fantastic homegrown tea talent who are sure go onto bigger things.
