Review of Brewdog Shepherds Bush
This is post is long overdue but I have to give a shout out to my local bars.. introducing Scottish craft beer producers BrewDog.
Having already huge success around the UK, BrewDog’s passion and aim for quality British beer is evident from the carefully selected malts/hops/ ingredients to their distinctive bold blue branding.
Perched on the corner of the Goldhawk Road / Shepherds Bush, Brewdog has bought a touch of Camden and Dalston to the area.
At first glance you would think you’ve walked into an American diner; booths, retro lighting and 1950’s classic wall menu but all with a darker moody twist.
On to the beer and my goodness there is a selection! you literally spend 20mins standing at the bar choosing which one (or two) to choose.
Food is provided by Texas Joe’s born and bred American, Joe has a passion for all things Texas including beef jerky! his signature BBQ creations of slow cooked smokey meats are fave on the street food scene.
The chopped porn in red dip sauce sandwich is meaty huge portion of BBQ heaven! tender succulent pork drenched in a chilli sweet marinade .
The pork oozed with smokey flavour and seasoning, the small side of slaw added crunch and a texture to the meal.
Handcut skinny fries loaded with chilli and gooey cheese was a grease fiends paradise. A tad bit salty for me but the contrast of soggy vs crispy fries was unbelievably moriesh. Someone roll me home!!
Brewdog’s punk attitude of fuck the man we are doing things our way brings a new revolution to British made beer.
Fantastic selection of beers and a impressive food pairing I predict more exciting things to come!
